His name is Gale, he is a little Toy sized male and he is the last of the Coats of the Pine Meeroo family. He was born on November 7th and he is the first Mistwalker  Coat ever.

Examining Gale’s family tree, we can notice that, although he is the successor of the Snowpaw (Pine Meeroo), the Mistwalker Coat came from two Caledonians, that belong to the Gale Meeroo family.

Mother and father are both Caledonian. Specifically, the mother came from an Ursine and a Toy Cinder. The father came from two Caledonian and one of them was a pure Toy.

Reading the family tree, we can see that the Caledonian parents of the Mistwalker, have Cinder, Red and Winecoat relatives. An interesting detail is that there are many Traits in all the genealogy: Toy size,  Short Upright Ears and Short tail.

This Family Tree confirm the theory that Traits and Sizes are important for the birth of interesting Coats. Some Coats are less important than others, but is clear that, by continuing to breed them through generations, they use to improveme their own genealogy.

Surprisingly, there aren’t Loch and Snowpaw Coats in the genealogy of this little gem called Gale.

The genealogy of this Mistwalker helps us to understand how they can birth. The experiment suggested is to breed your 4th/5th generation Caledonians, trying to get random traits and pure sizes. Once you have your couples, you should continue to breed until you get a significant improvement of the genes.

Gale: the first Mistwalker ever

Recently, we noticed that the Open Bids are multiplying in the universe of Second Life.

The Open Bids allow the breeders to sell their Meeroos from only 100 Linden without any reserve price.

This is the question: is it right to let the buyers choose to price of the Meeroos for sale? In an ideal world, of course, the answer would be “yes”. The problem is that sometimes happens that there aren’t many buyers at the auctions: this is a problem that change the market,  underestimating the work of the breeders.

The market is going down, in our opinion, mostly because of Open Bids, because they tend to depreciate the value of Meeroos.

Because of these opinions, we suggest to all breeders to sell their Meeroos at regular auctions, to revive the market in waiting for the arrival of the new Meeroos: the Nocturnal.

We would suggest also to the owners of the Markets that offer auctions at their places to increase the regular auctions to attract more breeders and to raise the quality of their auctions.

To get all the Coats you want in a short time, you need to make a single major investment.

Based on your budget, you should purchase one of the highest Coatsof the Savanna’s family. Following the chart, we know that the Coats were discovered in this order: Zulu, Terracotta, Musim, Congo, Tribal, Kimodo.

Try to save your Linden as much as possible, and when you reach the amount you should purchase a Kimodo or a Tribal, to get, step by step, all the previous Coats.

Today, we can notice that, although some are more rare than others, the economic difference between a Musimo and a Kimodo is not big. Getting a Kimodo, you can obtain the other important Coats (Musimo, Congo, Tribal), and the earing would be very high.

Now, let’s examine how to get the other Coats with a Kimodo breeding it in-line with the Masked Meeroos’ family.

Matching a Kimodo with a Sakura (now on the market the price is lower then 20,000 L) you should get a Tribal. You will probably have to wait a few seasons before the Tribal will come out, you might get some Sakuras or Kimodos, but the probability of success is higher than 70%.

Once you have the Tribal, match it with an Azure to get a Congo. Then, match the Congo with a Kabuki to get a Musimo. However, in this case, the Congo can be also matched with a Terracotta to get the same result.

As already explained, the chances of success are very high. With an investment of 50,000 / 70,000 Linden, you can be sure to improve your farm: in fatc, also selling the Offsprings, you will earn a big amount.

It’s important to take a look at the background of the Meeroo you will buy (a Kimodo, or a Tribal, or a Congo). To get the other Coats you have to be sure that will be a Pure Coat (parents with the same Coat of the son/daughter). Almost every relatives of the background have to belong to the Savanna’s Family.

In this case, the Meeroo you will buy, haven’t to be an Offspring, but his/her mate (of the Masked Meeroos family) can be not pure.

These details are very important, because the purpose is to get all the rare Savanna’s Coats, that, in this moment, are the most expensive in the market.
